It is a good year to be a redhead with pantone announcing that emerald green is their colour of the year. Emerald is THE colour to wear this year and it will feature across lifestyle accessories, beauty products, colour palettes and MOST importantly fashion.

Redheads you can’t go wrong with emerald green…redheaded celebrities have been proving this for years.

Emerald green is complimentary to us redheads as red and green sit across from each on the colour wheel, therefore bringing out the best tones in one another. Redheads tend to have fair-medium complexions and this rich gemstone hue can highlight your glow rather than washing you out like other colours. Therefore redheads all around the world this is your year to shine…don’t hide that beautiful auburn hair let it flow freely for everyone to see!
Here are a few tips on how to add a bit of green into your wardrobe this year…

Tip No One… Dark colours are the most favoured during the winter months; I know my wardrobe is filled with a lot of blacks and dark browns. Try adding an emerald coloured statement piece to your outfit for example a handbag or clutch.

1.    Cath Kidston Mini Zip Bag Mini Dot Emerald Green - £24.00
2.    Juicy Couture Leni Charm Clutch Bag - £150.00
3.    Asos Satchel Bag With Straight Flap – £22.00
4.    Precious bags, Emerald Green Clutch Bag - £20.99
5.    Clean ID Satchel - £34.00

Tip No Two… Emerald coloured jewellery adds an exotic, luxurious look to any outfit… especially in light of this season’s love of blinged-up accessories.

1.    Asos Stone Cross Stud Earrings - £6.00
2.    Krystal Swarovski Square Necklace – RRP- 225.00 – At the moment £65.00
3.    Asos Pyramid Gem Earrings - £8.00
4.    Asos Gem Plate And Spike Waist Belt - £20.00

Tip No Three... Grab some emerald green makeup… maybe polish on the nails or for a more dramatic look try an emerald green eye shadow (Nars Cosmetics do a really nice one - http://www.narscosmetics.co.uk/color/eyes/duo-eyeshadow/misfit).
Tip No Four... Or how about mixing a pair of emerald coloured jeans with a white shirt or top or vice versa.
Tip No Five... Last but by no means least heels… and as Manolo Blahnik said ‘You put high heels on and you change’ – a perfect pair of emerald heels will definitely make a good statement on your wardrobe.
