In light of the coming season’s obsession with white, I
thought I should look at the best way to successfully pull off wearing white
when you are white. White doesn’t have
to wash you out, and with just a few simple rules, us pale faces can stand out
as bold as everyone else.
A quick flick through what’s hot this spring/summer proves
white is going to play a big role in your wardrobe. Victoria Beckham, Jil
Sander, Preen and Alessandro Dell’Acqua are only a few who have featured the
return of the oversized white shirt in their spring/summer collections.
I am a redhead with pale skin and I love
wearing white and want you to love wearing white too, and that’s why I’m going
to let you in on a few tips...
Tip number one... It is important to create a contrast on the top or bottom, if you are wearing a white shirt, layer it with a strong colour (e.g. a black waistcoat or keeping with this season's IT colour, an emerald green jacket like Emma Stone has done here.) Alternatively if that doesn't work for you try a necklace with a strong bold colour.

Tip Number Two… Or you can also create a contrast on the bottom by
wearing your white shirt with a bold colour such as dark jeans; disco pants which
I LOVE at the moment or a skirt.

Tip Number Three…The
LWD (Little White Dress) is replacing the LBD (Little Black Dress) this season.
Virginal white was all over the catwalks of SS13 from Chanel and Dior to
Givenchy and DKNY. White dresses can make us Redheads look gorgeous as the
bright white will light up your features and contrast beautifully with your Red
hair. If you decide to go for a white
dress this summer here are a few top tips for wearing the trend this summer…
1. If you are off on a night out pop in a bit of colour, match
your white dress with some bright shoes or a bright clutch bag and you arre
guarnateed to stand out amongst the crowd.
2.Give your LWD a western edge with some cowboy boots and a
tassle bag. I LOVE this trend and it is all over the magazines at the moment…check
out Companys latest magazine it has some great trend tips for the LWD this
summer.
3. Makeup tip… keep for your face polished. This means adding a
bit of bronzer to your face keeping your cheeks rosy and lips a darker shade of
your natural colour. This will hel[ make your features bodly stand out as the
white colour can often was out your features.
4. Gold is THE colour for your accessories, try a chunky gold
necklace and some bold gold bangles, the gold colour will draw out the
beautiful bronze in your Redhair.
5. Lastly if bright white isn’t for you opt for a cream coloured
or off white dress as the warmer tone can sometimes suit our complexions better
than pure white.
